Genital molluscum contagiosum is a viral skin infection caused by the molluscum contagiosum virus(MCV). This condition is characterized by the developement of small raised, flesh-colored or pearly-white bumps or lesions in the genital area. Molluscum contagiousm can also appear in other parts of the body, but when it affects the genital region, it is referred to as genital molluscum contagiosum.
